Strucco’s journey began in the mid-1980s as Caulkins Construction, a small operation dedicated to masonry walls, hardscapes, decks, spas, and outdoor structures. By 1993, the company had officially incorporated as Strucco—short for “Structural Concrete”—marking a shift from general building to a specialized focus on geotechnical, engineering, and structural concrete. A defining chapter in Strucco’s history came with the mentorship of Rex Ketter, a geologist whose guidance helped refine the company’s mission and expertise. Over time, Strucco evolved from its roots in brick and stone masonry to become a trusted leader in structural repairs, addressing the unique foundation challenges posed by San Clemente’s complex geology. Through decades of growth and adaptation, we take pride in Strucco’s reputation for quality craftsmanship and unwavering commitment to meeting the ever-changing needs of our clients.
