2023
Calle Abril
This one-story residential remodel wasn’t just a renovation—it was a complete transformation, designed to embody the homeowner’s passion for mid-century modern design while addressing both structural and functional needs. Through a focus on craftsmanship, innovation, and collaboration, Strucco created a home that is not only visually stunning but also deeply personalized.
From the beginning, the project required bold structural changes to achieve the homeowner’s vision. Strucco vaulted the ceilings and raised the wall heights by an impressive 14 inches, creating a dramatic sense of openness and light throughout the home. These changes didn’t just redefine the interior—they set the tone for the entire remodel.
Customization played a central role in this project. Strucco worked closely with the homeowner to design and craft custom cabinetry and built-in features that perfectly complemented the mid-century modern aesthetic. Every detail was carefully planned to ensure the final design was both functional and beautiful.

The outdoor space received just as much care and attention as the interior. Strucco reimagined the existing pool, adding a spa and incorporating unique design elements to elevate the entire outdoor area. They also resolved surface drainage issues, ensuring the space was not only stylish but also safe and long-lasting.
By blending bold structural changes, custom design features, and a cohesive aesthetic, the team delivered a home that exceeded expectations.
Additional work included caisson grade beam construction to underpin the rear of house on descending slope. Severe underground water leak two houses away destabilized the property and rear of house started moving downhill (we also pinned the neighbors on each side of this house with similar caisson/grade beam systems).

“Strucco turned our sinking house into a dream home! We came to them with an idea, and they brought the expertise to secure and lift the house.”
